Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 3 Reunion Recap Part 2: Heather’s Shame Spirals and Housewives’ Regrets
At the helm of the show, presenter Andy Cohen welcomed us back to part 2 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. All of the cast including the “Friends Of” are still seated on the couches as we left them. Have they been sitting there for the past week just waiting for us?
Heather’s spiral of shame over her blackout continues
andy jumped straight into the deep end when addressed Angie Katsanevas and her suggestion that HeatherGay got her black eye doing “Barbie Scissor Kicks”. Jen Shah. (Seriously? I thought we covered this topic.) Andy wanted to know where on earth she got the idea. Of course, the women all started talking at the same time. Heather asked Angie, “You were friends with her [Jen] 20 years and you thought we had sex?”
heather continued, “To add insult to injury, I now had a ‘sex capade’ with me Jen, which I cover with my blackout. So this is getting better and better. . . It wasn’t a sexual assault, and if it was, I don’t remember. But I’ve never felt so attracted to Jen.”
andy asked (again – isn’t this all behind us already?), why if heather woke up with a black eye and scratches, she wouldn’t want to know who did it.
heather Tearfully replied: “I kind of felt like I deserved it for drinking whatever happened to me. I was just embarrassed and ashamed.” That’s really sad. It is that “Mormon guilt” at work again.
andy told her, “This is terrible.” Then he added: “Well, heather, I’m glad you’re safe despite all the confusion, and I hope you’re giving yourself a break because it’s certainly not worth the ‘spirit of shame’ you’re putting yourself through. Amen, Andi. Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes.
andy excused the “friends of” (Angie K, Angie Harington and Danna (Banana) BuiNegrete) to return to their dressing rooms. When the show went into commercials, the women moved on heathers Couch came to hug her as she was still in tears while the frenemies on the other couch (Whitney Rose, Lisa BarlowAngie K. and Danna) took the opportunity to take a selfie together, completely ignoring their friend’s pain.

Andy handles the subject of Whitney’s child abuse with far more sensitivity than Heather
After the break, andy the topic addressed Whitney’s Child abuse issues that came to light this season (but were completely overshadowed by heathers Black eye). Whitney claimed the repressed memories that have been bouncing back in recent years are causing her some health issues, so she did some “memory work.” She said, “I never thought there would be questions about it or that I would get hatred for it.”
andy asked who had questioned her, whether bystanders or family? It was heather! We all saw her collapse when Whitney tried to bring it up. I think Heather mentioned something about not wanting to divert attention Jensince Jen was in prison at the time.
Whitney said it was “performers” and then viewers. She obviously didn’t want to piss off heather again, but it was definitely Heather.
andy then watched directly heatherwhen he asked: “Given where your relationship has gone this season, you felt like you were capable of being supportive [Whitney] like you two would have been in a better place?” See? Even Andy knew Whit was talking about Heather.
heather admitted they never discussed the subject when they weren’t in front of the camera, so no, she wasn’t supporting her cousin.
Whitney but came prepared and struck heather with: “After dinner in Arizona, when [Heather] told me my healing journey was childish, foolish, sloppy and I made the journey about myself. . . ”
insert clip from heather points his finger Whitney and told her: “You arranged this trip. They wanted to party Jen, not to work on all your personal problems . . . you made everything about yourself.” Kind sympathy to your cousin, Heather. Wow.
Whitney continued, “Why would I come back to you and try to have a conversation about it?”
The Beauty Lab owner backed down at this point, saying, “I didn’t realize we were talking about this, and I’m appalled that you think I’d ever dismiss your feelings like that.” Well, be appalled, heatherbecause the rest of us thought so too.
andy told Whitney how sorry he was that she had to go through all this. But has anyone heard an apology? heather? Grilling.
The Infamous “Betrayal”
andy then started a conversation about the “cousins, ex-Mormons and feel-good girls” experiencing “Bad Weather” this season, how heather and Whitney “went from bright and sunny to dark and stormy.”
While soaking in a hot tub with Angie K, Jen and Lisa Barlowsaid the Wild Rose entrepreneur: “If heather If I can’t validate my feelings and listen to me, then I probably need to take a friendship break. This alleged “friendship breach” turned out to be a “deal breaker” for Heather, who saw it as a lack of loyalty on Whitney’s part.
andy Then read a comment from a viewer who said: “heatheryou say you are a true friend because you have always forgiven and defended yourself Jen, despite their constant lies and deception of innocent victims. Not Whitney Do you deserve at least the same patience and grace you gave Jen for far worse? Good viewers from Mead, Washington! Exactly my thoughts.
heather replied that she always kept Jen to a lower standard than Whitneyshortly before andy played a montage of Jen talking about her friend Heather when they were all (except Heather) in the hot tub together. Jen actually said, “Heather is my girlfriend 60% of the time. At this point in my life, with everything I’m going through, I don’t need friends like that.” Wow. That had to sting a little, as Heather always considered Jen her “ride or die.”
After supporting Jen all along, how do the women feel now that she has pleaded guilty?
andy finally raised the issue Jen Shah and her trial, when he said, “After maintaining her innocence for over a year, Jen pleaded guilty.” Cue all the clips of Jen repeatedly insisting she is not guilty of the charges against her.
heather expressed the opinion that in film everything seems “larger than life”. “[Jen] was arrested on camera, it was during filming and she had a hard time realizing that these allegations weren’t just part of the show.” So Jen just “forgot” that she cheated all those elderly people out of their life savings back then, Heather?
andy pointed out that in Season 2 meredith didn’t seem surprised at all Jen was arrested and charged with fraud. But then, in Season 3, Meredith “did a 180 and blindly stood by her.” She even accompanied heather to NYC to support Jen in court when Jen shocked everyone and pleaded guilty.
meredith took the highway and said, “Guilty, innocent, in between, she’s still human.” I will always fire for the underdog. Always.”

andy then reminded her that she said that when Jen plead guilty meredith would have “really difficult with it”.
meredith used the excuse that Jen hadn’t been convicted (at the time of filming) so she hadn’t come to terms with it yet.
Whitney then asked meredith, “How did you feel in season 2 hiring a private investigator and saying all these things she stole from your store? . . that you support them? i never understood [how] that happened.”
“The truth is,” meredith began: “Months before San Diego, months before either of you had this information, I was briefed on this by a very reliable source Jen had made an attempt in her life. And with what I’ve been through [her nephew’s past drug addiction and suicide attempt]I didn’t play with that.”
Another viewer comment read: “Jen actively committed fraud while showing her life on television. Do any of you think she really thinks she’s innocent?”
heather admitted, “I thought she believed it was her.”
Whitney added, “I don’t know why you would sign up as a housewife if you were running a telemarketing program.”
meredith dropped the bombshell that blew everyone away when she announced, “The sealed indictment was on the day you announced our show at BravoCon. . . Jen didn’t know about it yet, but it had been a grand jury investigation. And they were trying to get more information about more people.”
andy Next asked if Jen had expressed remorse for the victims of her betrayal, and everyone agreed that she had not. Lisa said, “I was quoted in an article, and she texted me and said, ‘Tell me who my victims are, bitch!'” Then a screencap of Jen’s text to Lisa was shown on the screen, which read, “If you Victims know in my legal case please let me and my attorneys know!!!!! There were ZERO casualties so PLEASE literally send them to us. Because you know more than we do.” Wow. Distraction or delusion? You decide.
andy asked heather if Jen goes to jail, would she visit them? Heather said it would depend on where she was going but she would definitely write to her and check with Coach and Omar.
The housewives share their biggest regret of the season
Finally andy asked the housewives which was her biggest regret of the season.
heather: “My biggest regret is not going to bed right away when we got home from the club, Marilyn Monroe night. [I wish I had] I just went to bed and stopped drinking and stopped messing around.
Whitney: “I wish I had waited until I was sober to talk about the rumours [about Lisa’s business]. But I was kind of hoping that you would [Heather] would say that one of your regrets is not repairing our friendship.”
meredith: “I think my biggest regret is not being clearer and more careful with my words.”
Lisa: “For me, I’ve just learned a lot this season, so I don’t want to call it a regret, but I wish I had more boundaries with me Jenand I am thankful for so much more.”
The champagne came and andy toasted the ladies and thanked them for a “really enjoyable season”. And how Lisa and meredith Both celebrating birthdays during the reunion week, Andy wishing they would “find a way to reconcile” as a cake was brought to them to share.
