Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced today that its Board of Directors has elected 10 new members to the firm, effective January 1, 2023. Dykema’s new partners, their offices and descriptions of practice are listed below.
Kyle M. Asher – Government Solutions; Lansing
Asher assists clients – including some of the country’s largest automakers, universities and insurers – with their most pressing appeals, class actions and regulatory matters. In his litigation practice, he has written dozens of appeal briefs and presented oral arguments before the Michigan Court of Appeals on several occasions. Asher has also had numerous successful results in statewide class action lawsuits in locations across the country. In his regulatory practice, he advises clients operating in highly regulated industries – with a particular focus on education, election and insurance law – to keep them on the right side of the law and away from enforcement action and regulatory scrutiny.
Asher received a JD, magna cum laudeand a BA in Finance, with honor, from Michigan State University. Before joining Dykema, he served as clerk for the Honorable Robert Holmes Bell in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
Clay A. Cossé – product liability and commercial disputes; Dallas
Cossé is co-lead of the company’s Electric and Autonomous Vehicles (E/AV) and Advanced Mobility team. He represents automakers in complex product liability disputes and regulatory matters related to advanced driver assistance and autonomous systems, airbags, seat backs, post-collision fires, seat belts, rollovers, planar crashworthiness, and handling and stability. He also represents electric and gas utility clients in complex personal injury and catastrophic accident litigation, as well as a broad spectrum of clients in complex commercial disputes.
Cossé earned his JD from the Louisiana State University Law Center and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
Asel M. Lindsey—Taxes; San Antonio
Lindsey specializes in federal, international, state and local tax and tax litigation matters, with a focus on transactional practice including mergers, acquisitions and restructurings. She advises clients on a wide range of tax matters affecting flow-through corporations, including partnerships, limited liability companies and S corporations. Lindsey is also a member of Dykema’s Dental Service Organizations group and regularly advises on tax matters related to DSO acquisitions and restructurings. She also assists nonprofit organizations in obtaining and maintaining federal, state, and local tax exemptions and provides tax advice to tax-exempt nonprofit organizations.
Lindsey earned an LL.M. from the New York University School of Law, JD, cum laudefrom Washburn University School of Law, and a BS, cum laudefrom Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
Milo R. Madole – Real Estate; Detroit
Madole is a real estate attorney with extensive experience in transactional matters. In addition to an active practice in commercial leasing and statewide buy and sell transactions, he is passionate about working with developers and lenders in the city of Detroit on complex development transactions, generally involving multiple lenders and various other sources of financing.
Madole received a JD, cum laudefrom the University of Michigan Law School and a BA, magna cum laudefrom Kalamazoo College.
Igli Psari – business and finance; Bloomfield Hill
Psari focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate governance matters and strategic commercial transactions. He earned a JD, cum laude and a BS in Accounting, summa cum laude from Wayne State University. During his law studies, Psari was co-editor of The Wayne Law Review and senior member of the Wayne State Moot Court Team. He was also a court clerk with Judge Nancy G. Edmunds of the US District Court in the Eastern District of Michigan.
E. Carolina Rodriguez-Hatt – Real Estate; Detroit
Rodriguez-Hatt advises clients on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions including real estate financing, workouts, leasing, acquisitions and disposals. Experienced in representing local and national companies, she understands the importance of working closely with clients to ensure their goals and objectives are met in every transaction. Rodriguez-Hatt received a JD, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and a BA from the University of Michigan. She is also a native Spanish speaker.
Erin A. Sedmak – financial services litigation; Lansing
Sedmak litigates critical emerging issues for her clients, whether in court or on appeal, combining her technical knowledge with her ability to assess and articulate complex issues and provide an informed perspective. While representing clients in the insurance and financial services industries, her work spans numerous areas such as Native American law, for which she has been recognized. Outside the courtroom, Sedmak applies her industry expertise to clients in the form of general counsel services, working together to advise clients on challenging regulatory, gaming and other matters.
She earned a JD, magna cum laudefrom Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a BFA, cum laudefrom the University of Michigan.
Ariel J. Snyder – Business and Finance; Dallas
Snyder maintains a transactions practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and restructurings, and related financing projects. She is dedicated to advising clients that not only protects their interests in the moment, but creates the best possible foundation for their post-project goals. During her law studies, she was Associate Research Editor for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law Review. Snyder received a JD, with honor, from the William H. Bowen School of Law and a BA from Arkansas State University. She also spent a summer semester at the University of Monterrey.
Paul T. Stewart – Litigation and Environment; ann arbor
In his practice, Stewart focuses on helping clients resolve environmental and commercial disputes and compliance issues. He is at the forefront of litigation involving per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), having successfully represented both suppliers and users of PFAS in some of Michigan’s earliest cases involving these emerging contaminants. Stewart also has a strong track record of practicing class action, product liability, antitrust and trademark litigation.

Anda Tatoiu – business process law; Chicago
In her practice, Tatoiu deals with a wide range of complex commercial disputes. She manages all aspects of case counseling and case management from initial investigation to trial and all appeals. Tatoiu litigates on behalf of insurance carriers, financial institutions, social services, schools, security companies, healthcare facilities and professionals, social media companies, and other professional entities. She also deals with creditor rights and commercial mortgage enforcement matters for commercial mortgage-backed securities (“CMBS”) special servicers and financial institutions.
